Summer Revelation: Raspberry Peach Soup

My media team went to have lunch with one of our close collaborative media partners.

The restaurant was a stone throw walk from where we were based in the Champs-Elysee and Rue Montaigne neighborhood.

It was 2019 summer, my first summer in Paris.

However summer didn’t come until July with June still blowing 19 celsius chilly wind.

The dessert came up in the most unexpected pairing: raspberry sorbet, strawberries chunks, and peach soup.

Peach soup? Never have I thought about drinking peach, but isn’t it a great idea to have peach soup?

Peach is a high-maintenance beauty. Their beautiful, soft orange flesh with hints of pink and yellow requires careful handling. A slight squeeze in the car can bruise them, leading to spoilage and a shortened lifespan.

Peach soup offers a delightful solution to this dilemma. The fruit's appearance becomes less important, allowing its intrinsic charm to shine through in the form of a refreshing summer treat.

The tartness of raspberries complements the sweetness of the peach, while a small amount of strawberry morceaux adds a delightful touch.

For me, this peach soup is a revelation. It's a refreshing adventure for the senses.

One that I shall never forget.
